How Often Should I Have My Electrics Checked?
As a rule, domestic owner-occupied homes require inspections and tests every ten years.
If you home is rented, then the checks should be more frequently depending on the age of your property and installation.
A condition report will reveal is any circuits or equipment is overloaded, will warn you of any fire or shock hazards, highlight any defective work and any lack of earthing or bonding.
These inspections should only be carried out by fully qualified and registered electricians and will carry out any inspections and testing to the latest British Standards.
